Identifying Emotional and Physical Challenges in Pregnancy

You may be seeking these services for general improvement of mental health awareness and body awareness to enhance emotional, mental, and physical resilience during your pregnancy. However, you might also be experiencing specific symptoms that lead you to look for targeted care. Common symptoms include:

What We Offer:

In our sessions, we incorporate gentle yoga for movement, breathing techniques for relaxation, and practical strategies for birth preparation, while also considering all aspects of your life, including partner and family support, diet, sleep, social and cultural expectations, and so much more

  • Mental Health Support: Understand and manage the emotional ups and downs that often accompany motherhood. We take a whole person approach to provide tools to help you navigate anxiety, stress, and feelings of overwhelm, fostering a supportive environment for your mental well-being.

  • Body Awareness: As your body undergoes changes during pregnancy and postpartum, enhancing your awareness of these shifts is vital. Our program emphasizes interoception, helping you connect with your body’s changing signals and needs.

  • Pelvic Floor Exercises and Gentle Stretching: Engage in gentle movements and practices that promote relaxation, flexibility, and strength. These mindful techniques foster a deeper connection to your body, supporting physical health while enhancing emotional resilience. Exercising your pelvic floor muscles before and during pregnancy can help reduce muscle strain by decreasing the impact of carrying a growing baby, lower the risk of injury during vaginal birth, and facilitate a quicker recovery postpartum.

  • Community and Connection: Join a network of supportive mothers who share similar experiences. We create a nurturing space where you can connect, share, and grow together, fostering a sense of belonging and co-regulation.

In Person 90 Minute Evaluation

A comprehensive evaluation that includes interviews, targeted questionnaires and assessments, and physical observation to understand your individual experiences and needs. This helps us identify specific goals and develop a personalized Plan of Care to support your mental and emotional well-being during the perinatal period.

In-Person or Virtual Individual Session

Sessions following the evaluation are typically scheduled once a week to provide consistent support and encouragement. However, the exact frequency and duration of sessions will be tailored to meet your unique needs and goals, as outlined in the personalized Plan of Care established during the evaluation.

Eighth Sense Wellness is an out-of-network provider, meaning we do not accept insurance directly. However, we provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance companies for potential reimbursement.
